Privacy Policy
SECTION 1: WHAT DO WE COLLECT?
When you contact us to enquire about or engage our services, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, business name, and email address. When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer's internet protocol (IP) address, along with information collected via cookies, to help us learn about your browser, device, and how you use our site (see Section 4). Email marketing: with your permission, we may send you emails about our services and other updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the links provided or by emailing alison@number27design.co.uk
SECTION 2: WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION, AND WHY?
We use your information for the following purposes, on the following legal bases:
To respond to your enquiries and provide our design services — this is necessary to fulfil a contract with you, or to take steps towards entering into one. For internal record keeping and to improve our services — this is in our legitimate interest in running an effective business, and doesn't override your rights. To send promotional emails about new services, special offers, or other updates — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For market research purposes, by email or post — only with your consent or where you'd reasonably expect this based on our relationship with you.
SECTION 3: HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected. Enquiry and client information is generally retained for the duration of our working relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal purposes. Email marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
SECTION 4: SECURITY
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
SECTION 5: COOKIES
Our website uses cookies, including analytics cookies, to help us understand how visitors use our site and to improve it over time. We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to collect anonymised information about your visit. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, via a cookie banner on the site. You can choose to accept or decline these. Most web browsers also let you manage or block cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how the website functions for you.
SECTION 6: LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. We cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by this privacy policy. You should check the privacy policy of any website you visit.
SECTION 7: YOUR RIGHTS AND CONSENT
When you provide personal information to make an enquiry or engage our services, we collect and use it on the bases set out in Section 2. If we wish to use your information for marketing, we will ask for your clear consent, or give you the opportunity to opt out. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting alison@number27design.co.uk
Under the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, you have the right to: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information; ask us to delete your information, where applicable; object to or restrict certain processing; request your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact alison@number27design.co.uk
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
